About STL | Great Value Books
Great Value Books is a ministry of Biblica, formerly IBS-STL, which serves customers around the world. Biblica, sponsor of the NIV Bible translation, has as its mission statement "Transforming lives through God's Word". They currently have 200 full- and part-time Bible translators working in 42 languages, as well as Bible and Christian book distribution warehouses in the UK, the US, and India. Great Value Books has a history of selling low cost literature around the world. Many years ago George Verwer, founder of Operation Mobilisation, stated that literature was the most important tool in reaching the peoples of the world with the gospel. Great Value Books was born of George’s vision of literature distribution, and GVB, as the Biblica mission statement outlines, continues to do this. About Our Literature Great Value Books distributes overstock and remainder books and Bibles and is the exclusive international distributor for Dake Bibles. Our Great Value Book overstock and remainder product is made up of thousands of titles in all categories, from children's books, Christian fiction, devotional material, discipleship books, and theological literature. A major focus is the distribution of Bibles and other scripture items. Our inventory comprises of product from many major publishers based in the UK and USA. We update inventory on a regular basis, and are constantly looking for material that is both affordable and relevant to the peoples of the world. What is remainder / overstock product? From the various publishers we purchase case lot product that has been discontinued or overprinted, or mixed skids or pallets of their store returns. The returned stock may have cosmetic damage such as faded page edges or slightly bent covers, but is still new product. Books can also be sold with a sticker on either the front or back of the book. Some publishers will mark their books with a mark on the outside pages. This is done to prevent the product from being returned for credit to the publisher and is a normal practice for high discount/remainder product. These slight imperfections do not detract from the readability of the book, and they allow us to offer deep discounts to you. Our overstock/remainder product is sold on a first come, first serve basis, and is not returnable. About Our Service All products are sent as per customer shipping instruction. For those customers who have no prior arrangement or consolidation service, we can advise and give shipping quotes. Orders can be sent to us by e-mail, fax, or post. Customers who do not have an account with us can pay with a credit card (where applicable), with a check in US dollars drawn on a US bank, or by wire transfer. Browse Our Inventory We know that when one half of the world is sleeping the other half is wide awake, so you may now view our inventory online 24 hours a day. At this time you may not order directly from the browser, but you can search our database and sort our titles by author, publisher or subject. You do not need a username and password to view our inventory, but to see your particular discount you will need to contact Mark Chase at mark.chase@biblica.com for your login information.
